United Nations Research Internship 2025

Un Internship 2025 : The United Nations Research Institute for Social Development is an independent research institute within the United Nations system whose main mission is to conduct interdisciplinary research and policy analysis on the social dimensions of development issues, and through its work it ensures that social equity, justice and development are central to policy thinking and practice.

In recognition of its efforts for the Second World Summit on Social Development, UNRISD is offering an internship opportunity to encourage female students who are interested in or willing to contribute to research, policy analysis, and knowledge development on social development issues.

Responsibilities During The UNRISD Internship

• Perform research, literature reviews, and fact-finding on social development subjects.
• Obligate policy analysis and sum up insights from reports and debates.
• Organize and report on meetings, policy events, and conferences.
• Support creation of publications and policy briefs.
• Conduct the Director to meetings, follow up on action points, and take notes.
• Participate in master plan meetings and internal research. 
• Supply limited administrative support.

Qualifications and skills

• Background in social sciences, international relations, development studies, and public policy.
• Strong experience in these fields.
• Fluent in English writing and communication skills; also proficiency in UN languages.
• Including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and intimacy with global social development agendas,
• Manage multiple tasks usefully, ability to work independently, and take initiative.

Start Date and Time Period

This internship is available for a minimum of three months and up to six months during the time period.

• Mid-May—Mid-July 2025
• July—September 2025
