Why Intern at Halcyon – A Unique Opportunity to Grow in the Impact Startup Ecosystem
Internship at Halcyon offers a meaningful fully funded opportunity 2025 to contribute to a globally recognized organization at the forefront of social entrepreneurship and climate innovation. As a member of the Programs Team, you’ll be directly involved in innovating Halcyon’s investment curriculum and shaping strategies that expand support for early-stage, impact-driven startups.
This internship gives you rare (few-one), hands-on experience with climate-focused entrepreneurs who are handling some of the world’s most urgent challenges. You’ll gain valuable insights into the world of climate tech funding, social journey development, and sustainable investment models—knowledge that is highly relevant for careers in social impact, venture capital, and nonprofit innovation.
Eligibility Criteria for Halcyon Latin America & the Caribbean Climate Fellowship (2025):
- Region: Based in & connected to Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC).
- Sector: Focus on climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience prediction.
- Stage of Venture: Early-stage entrepreneurs or social enterprises convey climate challenges.
- Commitment: Full commitment to mentorship, networking, & program activities.
- Impact: Aiming for social & environmental impact with sustainable solutions.
- Eligibility for Funding: Venture required investment support and benefit from funding and mentorship.
Position Summary:
- Research different fundraising strategies for social enterprises in Health, Climate, and EquityTech.
- Build a database of donating sources for Halcyon fellows and alumni.
- Organize and clean the data on Halcyon’s investor contacts.
- Assist in creating investor outreach materials.
- Prepare a database of relevant startup pitch competitions with key details.
- Full-time, in-person role from early June to late August 2025.
- Hybrid option available (up to 2-remote days per week).
Experience Required/Preferred:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and related more tools.
- Currently pursuing a degree in a related field.
- Strong passion for impact-driven entrepreneurship, ideally with startup experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Experience with data collection and management preferred.
Special Considerations:
- Must be eligible to receive college credit for the internship 2025.
- Willingness to effort occasional evenings for programs and events.
