The application phase for the 2025 William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding opens on April 18, 2025. Offered by The Asia Foundation (TAF), this prestigious program will select a cohort of three fellows from Asia and the Pacific. The fellowship is designed to support and magnify the work of early or mid-career professionals who are actively involved in developing peace through research, advocacy, policy-making and community practice. A primary focus of the fellowship is on network building, connecting fellows with each other and with the wide global peacebuilding community. Through this exchange, participants will be able to strengthen their leadership capabilities and expand their impact in the field.
The highlight of the program will be a captivating study tour and peacebuilding exchange in the United States, taking place from October 13 to 24, 2025. Fellows will visit San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and Washington, D.C., where they will interact with policymakers, practitioners, and thought leaders in peacebuilding. In addition to the in-person program, fellows will also engage in virtual seminars led by The Asia Foundation’s Peace and Stability and Leadership and Exchange programs.
To further carry their growth, each fellow will receive a flexible professional development grant. This funding is intended to help them implement personally adapted projects or take concrete steps toward achieving their professional goals.
This is an isolated opportunity for peacebuilders across Asia and the Pacific to gain international exposure, deepen their expertise, and elevate their impact at both local and global levels.
Eligibility Criteria for the 2025 William P. Fuller Fellowship
- Born after October 13, 1985 (40 years or younger in Year 2025)
- Citizenship : Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pacific Islands, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, or Vietnam
- Perform to peacebuilding in the Asia-Pacific region
- Fluent in English (written & spoken)
- Strong wish to collaborate and network in the peacebuilding field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience with leadership potential capability
- Able to complete self-directed coursework and a professional projects
- Available for full participation : October 13–24, 2025
- Eligible to secure a U.S. visa for travel.
